Το Rethymno Rocks #5 υποδέχεται τους Automaton.
Στη σύγχρονη μουσική ιστορία, ελάχιστες ήταν οι περιπτώσεις που κατάφεραν να αναπαραστήσουν ηχητικά, το μοναδικό τοπίο και περιβάλλον της Κρήτης όσο το άλμπουμ των Automaton “Talos”. Τόσο μοναδική ήταν η μεταφορά του κρητικού μύθου μέσα στον σκληρό ήχο, που το σχήμα στην ηχογράφησή του, συνεργάστηκε με τον θρύλο της Κρητικής παραδοσιακής μουσικής, Αντώνη Ξυλούρη (Ψαραντώνη), σε μία μοναδική σύμπραξη δύο θεωρητικά, διαφορετικών μουσικών ειδών, αλλά με την ίδια μουσική φλέβα, σμιλεμένη στην αιώνα κρητική πέτρα.
Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά το φετινό Rethymno Rocks υποδέχεται τους Automaton την Πέμπτη 28 Αυγούστου, για να πάρει σάρκα και οστά για άλλη μία φορά ο θρύλος του Τάλου, στα χώματα που τον γέννησαν.

In recent music history, few cases have managed to sonically depict the distinctive natural setting and landscape of Crete in the manner of Automaton’s “Talos”. So unique was the transfer of the Cretan myth into the harsh sound, that the band actually collaborated with the legend of Cretan traditional music, Antonis Xylouris (Psarantonis) during its recording, thus connecting two theoretically different musical genres – but with the same musical vein – carved in the centuries-old Cretan stone. With great pleasure, this year’s Rethymno Rocks welcomes Automaton on Thursday August 28, so that the legend of Talos will be told and brought to life once again, this time in his own legendary birthplace.
